New EP:Pennjamin Bannekar - 1/11

Today is celebration for a couple reason 1 being it’s the homie Penn’s actual birthday and 2 he’s releasing a brand new EP in which he describes as career defining. Penn has given us so dope projects over the years from his 2010 project Hello World with DJ L-Gee to his last years realese of Paper Plane Pilots not to mention the countless 31 verses in 31 Days series. For this to be his “career defining” project means he really thinks highly of it. Go follow him on Twitter @PennBannekar and wish him an happy birthday and go listen to his new EP. To make it easier for you he’s made it available on all streaming apps such as Tidal, Spotify Apple Music etc.

New EP: Dhniera Blu - Blu Sessions

First off I want to offer my most humble apologies to Dhniera Blue for not posting this when her EP initially dropped. I knew it was a project I was missing i just couldn’t think of what it was so I will make sure this is the very next thing I listen to I promise. Also while I’m listening all of you reading this should head over to your tidal, Apple Music, Spotify etc and Check out here new EP as well. Blue Sessions has features from J.Hill and Pennjamin Bannekar and if her other work is any indication of this EP we are in for some good music.

EP: The Boy Illinois - Windy

Illi comes through with his latest effort which he titles Windy. The coolest most well groomed hip hop artist from the Chi comes through with a new project and his brought some of Chicago’s heavy hitters with him such as YP, Saba, Rico Reckless and a few others. Illi is easily one of the artist I support the most with G-Herbo coming in at a close second. So I’m pretty biased when it comes to his work but you can be the judge for yourself head over to Tidal, Spotify, Apple Music etc and Check it out for yourself.

EP: Maya Huyana - Rebirth

Vic Mensa - There's A Lot Going On(EP)

Okay so late last week Vic Mensa dropped a 7 track EP and of course being a fan of his music I was a bit estatic. It's been 3 years since we last got a project from the budding MC and if you listen to the EP there's a great explanation on why it took that long. Vic is a very versatile artist as you should know by now but making music gives you an outlet to express your self in a way that can open you up to the world and Vic does just that on this EP. He makes songs that contain lyrics that open your eyes to things not broadcasted as much as it should be or songs that simply let you in to his life  as he does with There's A Lot Going On. The song gets deep and it connects you with not Vic the artist but Vic the man and we as a fan base can appreciate songs like this that leave the artist vulnerable and gives a glimpse of who Vic is and what he has been through. So gather up that $6.99 and head over to iTunes and grab There's A Lot Going On and check it out. Click here.

Ravyn Lenae - Moon Shoes(EP)

I just found out about her not too long ago and I was intrigued by what I heard. Then she dropped her second single a few weeks back and it really got me wanting to her a whole project well now I have that chance. Ravyn dropped her debut project via Fakeshoredrive.com and now is available here for everyone. Just Press Play!!!!

Asia Monique - Looking Glass(EP)

Okay so this came out a little bit ago but I missed it. I'm sorry because she is a talented artist who should have her talents displayed. Anytime you get someone who can actually sing minus any voice enhancements you should be pushed to the forefront in my opinion. That's why I value artist such as Asia,Eryn Allen Kane, Sharell and many others because their talents are very rare these days. I've heard Asia on songs with Add-2 and The Boy Illinois and now she's on her own and holds it down with her new EP. The standout tracks to me where Herion, Bitter(Over It), and Queen. On Queen she really shows the ranges and voice control she possess it's a slow song but it's enjoyable to listen to.

Check it out below in its entirety.
