Q: What are some of the project you have coming up?
A: Well I have 2 projects dropping this year one is Good Night Kiss Mix which is like an R&B album which will include new and old school music and it will drop in June. This Mixtape will be one of those you pop in while you have a nice young lady in the whip riding down Lakeshore drive at night time in a drop top.(laughs)
My other Project I have is the NoDazOff Mixtape which will be my hip hop tape and it will drop in July. I teamed up with DJ Citi of Bricksquad to bring you all hip hop in its purest form. It will consist mainly of artist from Chicago but don't be surprised if you see some of your favorite artist in your city pop up on it.
Q: How do you feel about Chicago's music scene right now?
A: Mannnnnn I feel like the Chicago music right now is where it should have been years ago. I feel like right now Chicago is as strong as it's ever been with act like LEP Bogus Boys, YP, Chella H, King Louie and everyone just performing, putting out videos, and having hard working street teams Chicago is the place to be right now.
Q: So what are your thoughts on the whole Young Chop/Kanye West dispute?
A : Honestly everyone gone have their differences and see things in a different light. I understand both sides of what happened but when moves like that are being made for the betterment of Chicago's music all the beef should just be squashed. Ye is like the God Father in the game right now it would be like me putting out some work and DJ Drama coming and tweaking something on my project I'm not going to get mad because he's improving my product. Sometimes you just have to fall back and respect the veterans of the craft.
Q: As a DJ I know you have a lot of people who influenced your craft who might those people be?
A : I would have to say DJ Slugo,DJ Shaun-P,DJ Gemini,DJ Bigg(R.I.P.), definitely DJ Drama, ummmmm DJ 33 1/3, DJ Timbuck 2,Dj Citi, DJ Playmaka, and of course my man Million $ Mano.
Q: You from Chicago you know I have to ask Harolds or Uncle Remus?
A: With out a shadow of a doubt I am going with Harolds I'm not a fan of Uncle Remus's at all. I just want to S/O my graphic designer Nico if you need any work done hit him up on twitter @Isuave. Make sure ya'll catch me on WindyCityUnderground.com every Thursday from 6pm-9pm and on Diesel Beats Tv on YouTube.
